Merry Christmas Finish

Merry Christmas
Carriage House Samplings
32 ct mystery linen
DMC threads

Another Christmas ornament for this year-it is a great feeling to be ready for Christmas exchanges ahead of time :)
Yes, I have been stitching.  Mostly on the BOAF Mystery Sampler.  I am finally starting on the 2nd part. An update next week on that.

But, guess what?  Yes, I am wanting to start something new!!  And after I saw another blogger talking about this one, I signed up-check it out!  It is another mystery design from a darling designer, Natalie at L'Atelier Perdu.  It will be my first project by her. Looking forward to getting started on it!

Timeless Tomato Class

Debbie Stiehler
Timeless Tomato kit
Light grey Congress cloth
Included threads

The 2-day class was so much fun! It was just my second "official" class with a designer/teacher. And Debbie flew all the way to Seattle from South Carolina, bless her. There were about 22 students in the class and all were way more experienced needlepointers than me. But, help was close at hand when I needed it. The top larger canvas is the tomato. The bottom canvas is the strawberry bottom, strawberry top, and the 2 pc tomato stem.

When I got home, guess what was calling my name?  Yes, the Birds of a Feather mystery sampler. So, I thought I'd give you an update on that one too.

Even though I'm not finished with the border, I can't wait for the second installment to get here!

(Please don't remind me about my unfinished January challenge :)

RAK Received!

Generous Karen sent me this wonderful RAK last week.  My very first one ever! Thanks so much, Karen.  This goes just great in my pincushion collection. I have already picked out a pattern to stitch and pass along to another stitcher!

The new mystery sampler is still calling my name to come back and visit it, but....
tomorrow morning, bright and early, I am off to the Ballard area of Seattle to start a two-day class with Debbie Stiehler called Timeless Tomato.  Check it out below--

Don't worry!  I'll keep you updated!  Have a great weekend!

My 2010 ANG SOTM Finish-Finish!

I am so pleased with my recently finished 2010 ANG Stitch of the Month!  My local finisher, Kathy Klinko, did this finish. I used a mottled effect canvas and she let it show around the edge of the pillow. Thanks, Kathy!

I'm the Winner!

Orna Willis rocks!

She is hosting a giveaway for the supplies to each part of her series "My Family"
And I won the supplies to the first installment entitled "My Grandparents".
The instructions are free on the sidebar of her blog called Adorn-click here.  The second installment giveaway is going on now-don't miss it!

But, I need help!  For some reason I can not access the instructions for My Grandparents without logging in to Facebook or Scribd.  I don't belong to either and don't want to sign up.  There is an edit on the original post that says something about opening a window in Google-I have no clue how to do that.  Help!!  The second installment downloaded easily in Google docs.

EDIT:  I have it now-thanks for your help!
